Molin of Bucchio is the first mill in the Arno river. Since the Middle Ages this area has been marked by the presence of hydraulic factories controlled most probably by the feudal family of the counts Guidi. In addition to the milling activity carried out for centuries by Bucchi family, the town has also been home to an important trout farming. The mill operated regularly until 1955 and occasionally until 1960. The last miller was Pietro Bucchi called “Pietrone”.

In this suggestive scenario, from the idea of three young people with different work experiences, the “Cooperative In Quiete” was born in January 2014. Environmental guides, educators, communicators, forest doctors: many different training paths for each of us, combined in a single bet on professionalism, about passion, about friendship. A goal, believe and invest in responsible and sustainable tourism for the paths of the Apennines, as well as environmental education in schools for the future of the new generations, all combined by a deep spirit of enhancement of nature and the historical and cultural traditions of the area. The name comes from a live album, recorded when we were still children, that we have in common and that has seen us grow… a name that although distant between us has united us in the wake of common passions and interests.

• A day to experience the life of other times, immersed in the unique context of Molin di Bucchio, an ancient mill of 1200 where you can still breathe the air of the past. In the early morning, meet to knead the bread and prepare everything you need for cooking. Then visit the old mill and the adjacent aquaculture plant, where trout will be fished for lunch. Lunch in the old kitchen and excursion in the surroundings of the Mill.
